What is an appropriate lipstick colour to wear with blue eyeshadow?

I am a brunette with brown eyes and medium skin tone. I sometimes wear a dark-ish blue eyeshadow for evening makeup, any suggestions as to what colour lipstick would compliment it?

Thanks

Yes I WILL wear blue. My dance costume (salsa) is blue, and the blue eyeshadow works perfectly with the costume. Just the lipstick I'm not too sure of.

It usually goes, if you are dramatic with the eyes, you go light on the lips. If you go heavy on the lips, you use a light eye shadow. So a dark blue eyeshadow would probably look best with a very light lip gloss, nothing too bright or stands out too much or else it will make you look sort of like a clown.

    SOMETHING NUDE.
REALLY CLOSE TO YOUR NATURAL LIP COLOR.
JUST A CLEAR GLOSS IS BEST.
OR EVEN A NUDE PEACH COLOR. JUST A HINT OF PINK.

You don't need to match your lipstick to your eyeshadow. For the summer, wear a gloss or a deep shade of pink lipstick with bluish undertones.

blue eyeshadow is not attractive. Go with earth tones if you must wear eye shadow. It should appear to be a shadow, not paint.

A shade or two darker than nude or a soft pink

a natural colour, if your have made-up eyes you dont want to look trashy by having too much make-up on, try like a subtle lip gloss instead or lipstick.
    Hope this helps. x

my suggestion is always whenever you have a dark colour on your eyes your lipstick should be as light/nude as possible…maybe even a tinted gloss in the closest shade to "nude" you can get

nothing with color…try a clear/nude gloss or lipstick..you don't want anything to red or pink or dark because you might end up looking like a prostitute.

a light pinkish color, or something with coral tones, even a hot pink would look hot if your not sure, just go with clear gloss.

Something light and glossy with a hint of color.
The general rule is that you should "pick" one area to emphasize…eyes or lips, not Both.

Otherwise it can look trashy and overdone.

    Peace

peach lipstick if your lips are naturally reddish; none if they are lighter. then swipe on some sheer shimmery gloss ranging in color anywear from a light nude shade to a subdued coral. avoid hot pink. also, if reallyyyy dressing up, try a maroon or dark red. it is sophisticated & classy, and not tacky at all. veryy pretty.

Something light and/or glossy. If you play up one part of your face, in this case your eyes, you want to downplay the other. Maybe glossy peach or light pinkish or bronzey.

Don't match your lipstick to complement your eyeshadow!!! You can wear so many colors that complement blue, but it should look good on you, otherwise you will look like a clown!

If you are wearing blue eyeshadow, and it's that noticable that you would match a lipstick, then I would say downplay your lips and do a heavier eye. If you are using just a bit of blue eyeshadow, and otherwise very little eye makeup, you can go with a more dramatic lip color.

    like pink would look great

a pic would help as I rarely think blue eyeshadow looks good on anyone without blue eyes. And even then it depends on how they are wearing it. but something leaning towards a purple may do well as it would have blue tones in it.

wear a sheer lip gloss with no colour and a bit of shimmer. When you wear a strong color like blue on the eyes it's best to dim down other features so just your eyes stand out. I know with blue eyeshadow it's easy to accidently look tarty. Especially if you wear red..
